Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this 23.8-inch privacy screen filter fit my specific monitor model?

A: This privacy filter is designed for any 23.8-inch widescreen LCD monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a viewable screen area of 529 mm × 296 mm. It is compatible with popular brands including Samsung, ASUS, Lenovo, HP, and Dell. We recommend measuring your monitor's actual viewable screen area before purchasing to confirm the fit.

Q: How do I attach the privacy filter to my monitor?

A: The EGYAL privacy screen filter includes two mounting options: adhesive mounting tabs that clip over the top bezel, or double-sided adhesive strips for a more secure attachment. Both methods are tool-free and straightforward. The adhesive tabs allow easier removal if you need to reposition the filter.

Q: Which side of the filter should face outward — glossy or matte?

A: You can choose either side depending on your preference. The glossy side delivers brighter, more vivid colors, while the matte side reduces ambient light reflections, making it ideal for brightly lit offices. Simply flip the filter before installing to select your preferred finish.

Q: Does the privacy filter affect screen brightness or image quality?

A: Like all privacy filters, applying this screen protector will slightly reduce overall screen brightness when viewed head-on. This is a natural characteristic of Microlouver Privacy Technology. Adjusting your monitor's brightness setting can compensate for this effect. Image quality for the direct viewer remains clear and sharp.
